How to make Time for Marketing when your Schedule is Full

From time to time I run into this situation: my schedule becomes so full of projects that I barely have enough time to market my services. While it would be easy to let this slide for a few weeks (or even longer) I know that marketing is the key to long term success.

I am a part time full time Internet Home Business owner I always wondered what it would be like to write a post like this having seen quite a few of my blogger friends do it, albeit with different circumstances.  Yes June 3, 2010 became an important date to remember for me, much like if it’s your birthday, wedding day, your children’s birth dates etc. It was the day after my last day at the bank I worked for the last 3 1/2 years

Amazon Kindle: Good for Freelance Writing Work and Play but Useless as a Coaster.

This week, after much thought and back and forth arguing with my other personalities, I bought a Kindle. Now, anyone who knows me knows that as much as I like computers, laptops, and televisions, I kinda hate technology. I hate GPS systems because I like to rely on my own little sense of direction; I hate cell phones because I don’t like being accessible at all times and don’t really enjoy talking on the phone anyway; I’m not a fan of texting and I don’t like the iPad.

Play Connect-the-Dots to Win at Online Marketing

Remember those puzzles you used to do when you were six or seven? That mass of dots and numbers on a page just looked like a mess. But when you went through and connected dot 1 to dot 2, moving on through dots 100 and 101, you wound up with a picture of a pony.

CP-violation and our origins

I was honored to be invited to an event with some exceptionally distinguished and intellectually independent participants whose names and whereabouts probably shouldn’t occur here before I ask anyone for permission. So unless I miss my flight or something like that, you won’t “see” me at least until Friday. But before I leave, let me mostly agree with Sean Carroll: Marketing CP-violation (Cosmic Variance)To summarize, I do agree with him that it is unfortunate to use titles such as A new …

Thoughts on Tracking202

There have been plenty of posts about the re-acquisition of Tracking202 by Wes Mahler and Steven Truong, so I’m not going to rehash those here.  All the buzz and discussion about this topic, as well as the original sale to Bloosky, have made me think quite a bit about what was the cause of all this. Fact is, there would never have been a sale to Bloosky or a re-acquisition in the first place if Wes & Steven hadn’t poured out their sweat and their wallets to create a truly original product.  Although there are competitors now, when 202 came out it was the first of its kind on the block.  They were able to capture almost the entire market for the affiliate tracking software niche with little trouble or competition.
