I thought this comment to a piece on “Healthcare IT myths” was worthy of wider distribution. (The full piec e is also a worthwhile read by itself; disclosure – my work is cited.) Everybody, including President Obama, is criticizing the U.S. intelligence agencies for not keeping accused underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab off the Christmas Day flight from Amsterdam to Detroit. Why didn’t they “connect the dots” or “put the pieces together”

It’s definitely crafting weather, and I’ve just started a project from The Happy Hooker (which is about crochet, obviously!) in rather fabulous shiny turquoise yarn. Although it is cold today in West Virginia – I’m hoping it will be hot in Florida in February. I thought I would take a moment on this cold wintry day to write about the hot health topics that will be discussed at the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) Hospitals and Health Systems Law Institute scheduled for February 25-26, 2010 at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, Florida ( Conference Brochure PDF ).
